Petersburg taxi driver rented a German for 10 thousand rubles

A tourist from Germany flew to the northern capital of our country on the afternoon of June 7. At Pulkovo airport, he took a taxi to get to Alexander Blok Street, where he had booked a hotel room. Usually such a trip, even during rush hours, costs no more than 800 rubles, but a buzz driver who immediately recognized a foreigner as a passenger asked for 10,000 upon arrival! The German asked in perplexity: “Is not it a lot?”. The taxi driver threw up his hands and confidently replied: “Such a tariff.”

Surprised by the high cost of Russian taxis, the foreigner wrote down the number of the car that drove him just in case, and when the kind people explained to him that he had overpaid and that there were no such prices for ordinary taxis in Russia, the German applied to the police.

  • A similar incident occurred last summer in Moscow during the Football Confederations Cup: a Chilean journalist paid 50,000 rubles for a trip from the Domodedovo airport to the city center!
  • In April of this year, the British football fans who flew to Moscow for the return match of the ¼ finals of the Europa League paid 10 thousand rubles for a 20-minute trip around the city.
